About Lighthouse Nutrition & Dietetics

Growing up in Puerto Rico with an amazing cuisine, it was easy to fall in love with food. It was also easy for food to become a challenge for any person or family, due to either our cultural food preferences or socioeconomic factors. Struggling with food in different ways while seeing many people around me in the same boat led me to pursue nutrition professionally. That eventually led me to my current role as an outpatient Registered Dietitian, where I help people of all ages maintain their optimal fitness, prevent and manage their medical conditions.

Those experiences inspired me to create Lighthouse Nutrition & Dietetics with one simple mission: to make nutrition easier to understand and easier to put into practice. I believe the best nutrition plan is one that fits your life—not one that takes it over. Whether you're working to prevent disease, manage a medical condition, or optimize your performance, my goal is to provide practical, evidence-based guidance that helps you feel confident in food choices you enjoy while supporting your long-term health. Outside of work, you'll usually find me surfing, staying active outdoors, or spending time with family and friends—because I believe healthy living should leave room for the things you love.

My Approach

I don't believe in perfect diets or one-size-fits-all meal plans. Every person has different goals, preferences, cultures, schedules, and health needs, so nutrition advice should reflect that. My role is to simplify nutrition, help you understand the "why" behind the recommendations, and work alongside you to build habits that are realistic, enjoyable, and sustainable. The goal isn't perfection—it's helping you make meaningful, sustainable changes that improve your health for years to come.
